La Maison Jaune is a magnificent farmhouse offering spacious accommodation with 5 bedrooms and a large living area. It dates from the 18th century and has been delightfully renovated in traditional style, completed by its own private heated swimming pool.

It is set in a calm rural location, near to the Mervent forest and the river Vendee. There is a nice lakeside beach at just 5 minutes, offering swimming, pedalos, canoes and water slide. Just a 5 minute drive to the amenities of the charming village of St Hilaire des Loges (shops, bar-restaurant), and 15 minutes to the town of Fontenay le Comte (supermarkets, shops, weekly market, restaurants). It is well situated for visiting the famous canals of “Green Venice” or for a day trip to the fabulous theme park “Le Puy du Fou”. For days out at the coast, the nearest beaches are at just over an hour, at either La Faute sur Mer on the south Vendee coast, Chatelaillon Plage, just south of La Rochelle, or you can take the bridge from La Rochelle to the Island of Re.
